Whole paycheck. That's what you'll spend when you shop here to stock your fridge or freezer. I do enjoy all the organic vegetables and spices. They now have a self checkout which allows you to get out quickly. One of the main things I come here for is the crème fraiche. I can't find it any other place. The store is clean but the parking lot is small.
While pricey as everyone knows Whole Foods is, it is consistent and high quality. It gets a bit annoying when the people picking up online orders give no care about others there to shop but seem offended when you are apparently in their way for a moment but I guess that's just what's going to happen when you put people filling quotas among people doing their regular shopping.
I shopped here on Monday 7/17/2023. I usually shop at the Whole Foods closer to home, but was in the area, and decided to grab a few items. I was very impressed with the Schereville location. The store was very clean, organized, and well-stocked, and they had some great deals on items that were on sale. A shout-out to Marysil for being a friendly and excellent cashier. Also, I spent some time at the seafood counter, and had a very positive interaction w/Josh. I was too far away from home to have bought anything there, but it was cool to come across someone who for lack of better words was so excited about his job and products, and so great with customers. I'll definitely stop by again the next time I'm in the (219)
I love Whole Foods and prefer to only shop here. The food is high quality, it has the selection and variety of higher end foods (hanger steak, the fish counter, rose cider, French bread like it tastes in France, desserts made of real ingredients not chemicals...) and the staff is outstanding and knowledgeable. We also love the cafe and have had several meals there and love their truffle fries! The plants are amazing and I can't hardly leave the store without getting another interesting succulent! The store is clean, the lines fly fast even when they are slammed! I love this place and am so happy that they put this store in Indiana! I love it!
I've done my grocery shopping almost exclusively at Whole Foods when I lived in Chicago and Boston. The one in Schererville is a bit of a drive from my home in Crown Point- not a bad drive distance wise but time wise....it has been much easier to have delivery. So with that being said - I am fully at the mercy of my assigned WF shopper to find and choose produce, meat and what not - never a challenge. Someone then packs up my bags - never a challenge. Drives to my home or office and delivers - never a challenge. Being blunt - even if WF was in Crown Point, I'd probably opt for delivery. I've been asked - well what about that fee (little under $10) and then of course, the (optional) tip - when I look at the price of gas and the time it saves me - I'd do it - even if Whole Foods was in CP. There is an obvious care taken by employees to ensure my order goes right from start to finish. The selection is good. The quality is excellent. Sometimes I see things I may not have seen in the store as I have the time to scroll. The deals provide the ability to try things I may not have known existed at a discount and also stock up on favorites too. I'm pleased. Thank you for making my grocery shopping easy.
Very nice Whole Foods store. I brought my dad here, he'd never been to a Whole Foods and we needed some ice cream so we stopped here to check this location out. They have some great Jeni's ice cream options, so we decided to try some. I'd love to come back here and check it out further, we didn't have much time this trip to fully browse through everything.
WF sells a wonderful cherry pie! I purchase it frozen, bake it at home and brush with Irish butter and sprinkle with organic sugar. It tastes like homemade when done this way. I also purchase organic Castor Pollux kibble for my pups. They have good sales here. Since I'm an Amazon prime member, I receive an extra 10% off select sale items. This location is always busy, so I suggest going in the morning or late evening.
